Ric is responsible for managing the Center for Understanding Change mission by overseeing the
technologies and research used to investigate the impact of global changes and risks to critical infrastructure. Dr. Jackson
was the first Executive Director of FIATECH, a non profit industry consortium launched by the Construction Industry Institute.
In that role, Ric managed the research initiatives and consortium that led to the integration and automation of project
processes for the construction industry via industry collaboration. Ric’s expertise and knowledge of new information technologies
serves C4UC research and educational goals of applying advance data analytics to understand changes or events that support our
Dr. Jackson has published over 100 technical papers and reports in the fields of mathematical modeling, nonlinear optimization,
automated manufacturing and technology transfer. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Johns Hopkins University, a master’s degree
from Southern Methodist University and a doctorate from George Washington University.
